Word Art
I was introduced to poetry by my partner Mike Taylor who has been an incredible inspiration to me.
He gave me Rupi Kaur's: The Sun in her Flowers, which helped me cope with some dark events happening in my life at the time.
He encouraged me to write as a way to help work out some of the emotions I was feeling. These are some of those worked out emotions for you to enjoy.
friends with the moon
Your realm of shadows
holds a special face
As it wanes to the sun,
her warm treasure awaits
The waters of dark,
smite good men to her depths
The dawn extends her hand,
golden whispers from her breath
Wet wings come to rest
under solar flares
Take flight to her skies
Putting end to nightmares
grasp a thorn, crave a rose
Bring a rose to your temple
And thorns to your bed
She’s not friends with the devil
But has no wings to spread
A hush from the dawn
Closed doors to silvery rooms
Her garden is gone
No flowers to bloom
